"Open yourself up and take it!"

Jeonbuk Hyundai held a tempered match ahead of the 2024-2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League 2 group match against Muangtong United (Thailand) in Bangkok, Thailand on the 3rd (Korea Standard Time).

Jeonbuk will have a showdown with Muangtong at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday. Jeonbuk already beat Muangtong 4-1 at home on Oct. 3. Notably, the team has already advanced to the round of 16 teams at ACLT. In the fifth round of the group league held on Oct. 28, the team beat the Philippines` Dynamic Taxes 4-0 to secure a chance to advance to the round of 16 teams with four wins, one loss and 12 points. The showdown with the runner-up Muangtong secured at least the second place regardless of the outcome of the match.
Kim Chang-hoon, one of the 15 elite players who has been steadily receiving opportunities to play in the ACLT, said, "The rest of the players will be together in Muangtong ahead of the promotion playoffs," adding, "I've been really grateful that the coach gave me the opportunity to play. I've been playing the game just because I don't think about the opponent and just want to do my best."

Born in 2004, Kim Chang-hoon is from Jeon Lin. Born in Wanju Middle School and Yeongsaeng High School, Kim has great pride in Jeonbuk. "Jeonbuk is always a big thing for me. I am also grateful and happy to play together in Jeonbuk, a prestigious team," said Kim Chang-hoon, a teammate of Kang Sang-yoon who plays for Suwon FC. "I am happy to be here in Thailand to play in the away match of ACLT Muangtong."

He is also listening to advice from Choi Cheol-soon, the oldest player in the team. At the training session on the day, Choi also talked about his various experiences to juniors. He asked his flanker Kim Chang-hoon to "open up and get the ball!"  안전놀이터

"He told me how to move forward quickly," he said. "I can't think of Muangtong easily because it is a prestigious team in the Thai league. We already had a match at home, but I can't think of it easily. If we win in Thailand first, the older brothers who are preparing for the promotion playoffs in Jeonju will be able to prepare happily."
